Gathering the Harvest before Thanksgiving

In preparation for Thanksgiving, comes the apples. This was about one third of our crop. Most of these went to make cider, but there were plenty for pies. I grew some pumpkins for the pumpkin pies too.

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day

Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, we are sure to have a very enjoyable holiday this year. Turkey is not the only way to celebrate; eat what you like! Visiting friends and family is a wonderful way to share the day and to make it memorable.

Open Lighthouse Day Saturday, September 18, 2010 The U.S. Coast Guard, the State of Maine and the American Lighthouse Foundation are pleased to announce the second annual Maine lighthouse open house. Last year, hundreds of people visited lighthouses along the Maine coast in the largest effort of its kind in the nation. This year we expect another fun family event. The partnership with the Coast Guard, State of Maine and American Lighthouse Foundation is intended to increase awareness of Maine’s maritime heritage and the rich history of its lighthouses and lighthouse keepers. We are 30 minutes from Pemaquid Point Light House, it is a beautiful drive, and a great place to get lobster is on the way home. Come see us and enjoy the beauty of September in Maine.

Wedding Weekend

Maine is a beautiful place to have a wedding and this weekend was the perfect one for guests attending two different weddings. The inn was full of happy people ready to help the couples celebrate their special day. We have weddings at Clary Lake B & B every year and we have one coming up in October. It will be another beautiful time for Maine with the fall colors and the crisp air. The following is the guest review for this past weekend: Thank you so much for our second stay with you (1st in 2008). It feels like having old friends of kindred spirits. Thank you for sharing your lives and decicious breakfasts as well as listening to us go on. We look forward to coming again as I know we will.
